The ITSERR Project Launches the Third and Final Call for TNA and NOA Mobility Grants
The ITSERR project – Italian Strengthening of the ESFRI Research Infrastructure RESILIENCE, funded by Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – opens its third and final call for applications to the TNA and NOA mobility grant programmes.
European and non-European scholars, as well as Italian PhD students working in the fields of Religious Studies or IT for the Digital Humanities, are invited to apply – individually or as a group – for funded TNA and NOA mobility grants within the ITSERR network.
The programme supports research stays at outstanding Italian libraries, historical archives, and IT laboratories hosted by leading universities and research institutions.
The ITSERR project, carried out by a consortium of five partners (ISTI-CNR, University of Palermo, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, University of Turin, University of Naples “L’Orientale”), aims to strengthen the European research infrastructure RESILIENCE through a strongly interdisciplinary approach that combines the humanities (theology, history, philology, archaeology) with advanced IT expertise.
ITSERR TNA grants cover travel, accommodation, free access to collections and services, as well as scientific support from researchers involved in the project’s various Work Packages. Research stays can last from one to four weeks, with priority given to proposals that contribute to the technical or scientific development of the project and the implementation of the infrastructure’s services.
There is no fixed deadline for applications, but all research stays must be completed by September 2025. Applications will be assessed on a competitive basis according to scientific merit, proposal quality, personal statement, and transnationality. Particular consideration will be given to interdisciplinary and international group applications.
Full details on the call, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and the complete list of host institutions are available on the official ITSERR website.
