SUMMARY:IEEE 2025_International Conference on Cyber Humanities
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nITSERR took part in the 2025 IEEE International Conference on Cyber Humanities\, in Florence\, with the paper “ReCoptic: Computer Vision for the Reconstruction of Dismembered Coptic Codices”\, presented by Fabrizio Sebastiani\, scientific coordinator of the ITSERR project and co‑authored with Lorenzo Bianchi\, Fabrizio Falchi\, Alejandro Moreo and Costanza Bianchi. \nThe contribution applies advanced computer vision techniques to the reconstruction of dismembered Coptic codices\, opening up new possibilities for the study and preservation of ancient manuscripts and demonstrating the potential of AI‑based methods for Digital Humanities and manuscript studies. At IEEE CH 2025\, “ReCoptic: Computer Vision for the Reconstruction of Dismembered Coptic Codices” received the Best Research Paper Award\, an international recognition that highlights the excellence of ITSERR researchers in the fields of Digital Humanities\, artificial intelligence and interdisciplinary research on cultural heritage. \nFor more information\, see the workshop programme.
